Bolderigo :: design demands and goals

The development of Bolderigo originated from a personal need to have a large and sturdy folding wagon that would fit in the booth of a sports car.

Every family with children know that going hiking, visiting the beach, or a long walk thought the woods can be really hard for small children. And of course, you need to take along 'supplies'. Spare clothes, the picknick basket and so on. For these kind of trips a children's wagon is ideal, you can put everything in the wagon and simply go. But they take in an awful amount of room in the car. A large sturdy folding wagon appeared to be answer, and with existing wagons failing to meet requirement we set out to develop a better folding wagon, adapted to the modern life.

Bolderigo Design targets:

• Create a means of transport
• that can move in the same sphere of space as a twin buggy
• that possesses a large enough loading area for 3 or more children
• is safe for the user, cargo and the environment it operates in
• that is suitable to carry a load up above 60 kg
• that can be easily reduced in size without the need for tools
• to maximum the size of a golfbag
• is sufficiently light to be carried over large distances
• and is aesthetically sound.

Hence the Bolderigo, a sturdy, very compact-able folding wagon that takes in less space than a golfbag when closed and offers a large container when open was designed.
